‘Taste of Knoxville’ – Crooked Gap Farm Dinner, June 22

Celebrate summertime, Slow Food-style!

Slow Food Des Moines and the Chefs’ Collaborative are hosting a seven-course gourmet dinner, Sunday, June 22, at Crooked Gap Farm in Knoxville.

Here are our plans for the evening:

We’ll meet at the rear parking lot at the Shops at Roosevelt at 5pm; transportation will be provided so we can all ride together.

When we get there, we’ll take a walking tour of Ethan and Rebecca’s Crooked Gap Farm, outside Knoxville.

Five chefs (Joe Tripp, Alba; Sean Wilson, Proof; Julie Henningsen and Brett McClavy, The Cheese Shop; Austin Bailey, Wesley Acres) are cooking a whole heritage breed pig for our seven-course meal. Willie James Shay will provide the live music while we dine, al fresco, with the producers and farmers.

We’ll head back to Des Moines at 9 pm.

Dinner is BYOB so don’t forget your favorite bottle or wine or beer!

Pricing and Availability. Tickets are $100/person. Attendance is limited to 35 ticket-holders.  All tickets must be purchased in advance at tasteofknoxville.eventbrite.com
