Bring a dish to share and join us 4 – 7 pm, Sunday, September 7, for our Slow Food Harvest Potluck!
It’s a pretty simple setup, but here’s the info, for those who love the details:
Where? The potluck is in the south picnic shelter at Des Moines’ Water Works Park.
Cook. Share. Eat. Make something yummy to share, and bring it (with a serving utensil). Folks are going to ask you for your delicious recipe, so you may want to have copies ready to share, too.
Cook. Share. Prizes! You can bring any kind of dish you like, but if it happens to be a pie or a locally-sourced vegetable dish, you can enter it in the pie (or vegetable) contest.
Also – more prizes. We’ll also be selling raffle tickets to help Slow Food Des Moines board member Deb Cazavillan fundraise for her trip to Terra Madre, the international Slow Food conference. (More on Deb’s trip and raffle here).
Eat. Drink. Be merry. Wine and beer (BYOB) are allowed. We’ll bring plenty of locally-brewed ginger ale, along with water and juice to share. We’ll probably also bring some Frisbees to play with (or throw around some empty pie pans or something).
Everyone’s invited. Slow Food members and like-minded friends are welcome at the potluck.
See you soon!
