Look what [er, whom] we’ve got cooking: favorite local chefs create Slow Dinner, June 28

SLOW_DINNER_2015_POSTER-updatedWe’ve got an all-star lineup of local chefs working on our June 28 farm dinner.

The seven-course meal with a Slow Meat theme is being created by members of the Chefs’ Collaborative:

All these chefs are generously volunteering their time, donating their wild creativity and culinary expertise to the advancement of Slow Food in Des Moines.

Working on the June 28 Slow Meat dinner gives these artists the opportunity to create their very own unique dish and work alongside their colleagues.  (With no practical constraints on what to serve, or bosses to tell them what to do).

The dinner will be prepared with local ingredients from such growers and purveyors as Crooked Gap Farm, Grade A Gardens, Story City Locker, Berkwood Farms, Farmtable Delivery, and The Cheese Shop of Des Moines.

A limited number of tickets for the June 28 Slow Meat Dinner are still available via Eventbrite.

For more information about the event, or for up-to-the-moment updates, join the Slow Dinner event page on Facebook (and follow the Slow Food Des Moines blog, too).
